People are spending millions of dollars on candy for the upcoming Halloween holiday. This holiday brings out the best in children as they get to dress like something they could only fantasize about every other day of the year. For one night everyone could be whatever or whoever they want to be. Many people enjoy dressing up like a scary goblin or a famous scary movie character. Other people like to take this day to make a political statement and dress up in something that many would consider risque or even political satire. While some people decide not to dress up, as they say it is against their religion or political beliefs, most children still go door to door for trick or treating. For safety reasons, people are having their children stay home for parties with friends instead of venturing out to strangers homes, able to keep an eye on the children and controlling how much candy is consumed.
